Is acupuncture safe?

Yes. Needles are sterile, used once and discarded. There may be occasional bruising. There may be some lightheadedness before or after a treatment which quickly resolves.

Do the needles hurt?

The needles generally cause very little discomfort on insertion. A dull, achy sensation from the needle is a desired result.

What should I do before a treatment?

It is important to be comfortable so have a snack, use the rest room and wear loose clothing.

What should I do after a treatment?

Try to stay warm, avoid cold foods, avoid alcohol and avoid vigorous exertion.

How much does acupuncture cost?

Initial visit $140, subsequent visits $85. Additional fees apply to electroacupuncture, herbal treatment, gua sha, tui na and cupping. We accept certain insurance plans. Worker’s compensation accepted.

Do you accept insurance?

We accept certain insurance plans. For all other insurance plans we issue a Superbill which is a standard bill with procedure codes. You can submit this bill to your insurance company for reimbursement. Contact your insurance company to verify coverage for acupuncture and reimbursement procedure.
